Description
Armour Proof AP-5400 High Solids Silicone Roof Coating is an exciting, new high yield, low VOC one-part silicone elastomeric roof coating! It was specifically designed as a protective coating over a variety of roofing substrates. Once cured, this liquid applied silicone coating provides a durable, seamless, flexible, waterproof membrane that resists lateral movement, shear and will allow for normal expansion and contraction. AP-5400 High Solids Silicone Roof Coating, when compared mil for mil, provides greater UV protection than similar silicone coatings and offers increased resistance to moisture penetration. AP-5400 provides excellent long term protection through exceptional weather-ability properties.

Application
AP-5400 High Solids Silicone Roof Coating may be applied by medium nap rollers, soft brushes or high pressure airless spray equipment. Apply AP-5400 only to clean, dry, sound surfaces free of loose particles or other foreign matter. For best results, ambient temperature should be between 50-90°F. Higher temperatures will shorten the cure and working times for proper application of granules before the material has skinned. Lower temperatures will lengthen the skinover, tack free and ultimate cure time. Sudden temperature declines may also result in dew formation on surfaces, which can prevent adhesion development. For best results, relative humidity should be above 20%. Lower humidity will slow the cure time significantly.
Preparation of Substrate
Surface must be pressure washed clean, free of all loose particles, dirt debris and other contaminants that could inhibit adhesion. An Armour Proof primer may be required for the particular substrate. Refer to the Armour Proof Coatings Specification for detailed instructions on how to prepare the specific substrate.
