Project Description
This EPDM roof was in great shape without any signs of leaks or issues after a Infrared Scan (IR Scan), but was coated to extend its life. Originally spec’d with a competitive system, this nearly 10,000 square foot roof was awarded using an Armour Proof Coatings’ spec incorporating a base coat of AP-5100 Moisture Cure Polyurethane and finished off with a top coat of AP-5400 High Solids Silicone Roof Coating.
Surface Preparation
The contractor cleaned the roof with our AP-1200 Single-Ply Cleaner/Primer to prepare the roof for the liquid membrane system.Seam & Penetration Repair
The seams and penetrations were reinforced with our AP-5100 Moisture Cure Polyurethane embedded with polyester fabric to protect these vulnerable areas.System Coating Process
Once dry, a coat of AP-5100 Moisture Cure Polyurethane Coating was applied, providing a strong, waterproof, monolithic membrane. Finally, the roof was completed in a coat of AP-5400 High Solids Silicone Roof Coating.More Case Studies
