Uses

Del-Val 402 Polymer Modified Foundation Coating is formulated for exterior below-grade masonry and block walls where no hydrostatic pressure is present. Can also be used to protect wood and metal above or below-grade.

Preparation

All surfaces must be clean and free of any oil, grease, dirt and all other foreign matter.

Application

Mix and stir to reincorporate any separate vehicles. Spread Del-Val 402 coating with roofing brush or spray equipment without thinning. Work coating well into surface. Del-Val 402 dries to the touch within 12 hours and provides a long-lasting, weather resistant, elastic, adherent film. Allow the applied coating to fully cure, approximately 24–48 hours, prior to backfilling. A simple test to ensure full curing is to apply heavy fingertip pressure to the coating and check fingertips for residue. If residue exists, delay backfilling until fully cured. Care should be taken when backfilling to prevent sharp stones and rocks from piercing coating.

Coverage

Apply at the rate of approximately 1.25 to 1.5 gallons per 100 sq. ft. Must stir coating before using. Coverage will vary depending upon age, dryness and porosity of surface.

Cleanup Del-Val 402 Polymer Modified Foundation Coating

Clean tools with Del-Val Orange Cleaner & Degreaser or mineral spirits, taking necessary precautions when handling combustible liquids.

Precaution

DO NOT THIN. DO NOT HEAT CONTAINER. DO NOT store in an area where temperatures exceed 120˚F
