Description
United Tapered Sumps are a pre-cut sump that is made of wood fibered insulation board. The pre-cut tapered panels are installed around the center of the drain, providing positive slope around the drain area to eliminate or reduce ponding water. As a result, the roof is protected from ponding water which shortens the lifespan of a roof surface and puts unnecessary strain on the roof structure.
Application
United Tapered Sumps can be used under most roofing applications including Modified Roofing (SBS & APP), Built-up roofing, & Single-Ply Roofing Systems (EPDM, PVC, & TPO). Please follow all manufacturer’s application directions before installing the tapered sumps. Always apply a base sheet or recover board before applying your roofing membrane. United Tapered Sumps can be installed with hot or cold adhesive or can be mechanically fastened.
